The Master of Commerce typically requires two years of full-time study. The curriculum is usually concentrated on one subject area such as accounting, economics, statistics, finance or marketing and emphasizes underlying theory. Relatedly, programs usually include a thesis component, or may even be exclusively research based.

TOEFL Computer-Based Test - A minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing; or
TOEFL Paper-based Test - A minimum score of 575 with a score of 5 or more in the test of Written English; or
TOEFL Internet-based Test - A minimum score of 88 with no individual score less than 22; or
Completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at PG (postgraduate) level available from the La Trobe University Language Centre; or Approved equivalent.
Applicants must have completed an Australian Bachelor's degree with Honors at H1 or H2A level, or approved international equivalent. Applicants with Honors at H2B level, or equivalent, may be considered in some instances.

* Normally applicants who have completed a Bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of 4** or better will be recognised for entry.
** A GPA of 4 refers to the UniSA grading scale which has a range of 1-7, other equivalent Australian and international grading scales will be considered.
