Master of Social Work (MSW) at Latrobe

Earning the MSW degree at La Trobe University is accomplished through a combination of classes focused on social work theory and field work where the theory is put into practice.
The complete curriculum includes philosophy of social justice, and students should acquire the knowledge and skills to work effectively in complex organizations. A key feature is the practical placement component, which allows students to gain practical skills in the field. An honor is available during the final year.
Students undertake academic and fieldwork subjects, and two supervised 70-day placements (one in each year), in a professional social work agency.
