Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, popularly known as AHPRA, works in partnership with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) to regulate Australian nurses, midwives and nursing and midwifery students and get registered in Australia.
AHPRA evaluates applications for registration very carefully and assesses every single criterion against the registration requirements set up by each Board. Once each and every requirement is satisfied, then the Decision Letter is issued to the applicant.

Once we lodge an application in AHPRA, they will assess the file against their registration standards. Soon as the assessment is complete, they will issue a Decision mentioning if you are eligible for Direct Registration or to complete a Bridging program / OBA.
If you are referred for a Bridging Program, you will have to complete the course within the expiry of your Decision letter and you can apply for Registration immediately after graduation.
